Dental implants are used to restore missing teeth from the block. It is an artificial tooth root in the shape of a screw made of pure titanium. It is surgically placed in the jaw bone, at the place where the roots of the natural teeth used to be. The placement is performed with simple local anesthesia, such as that applied in cases of occlusions, endodontic treatments and tooth extraction. Tooth restoration (either fixed – crown or bridge, or movable – complete denture) is attached to the implants after a period of months required for the integration of the implants to the bone.
