Preventive dentistry aims to educate individuals to maintain the health of their teeth and oral cavity as well as the timely identification and treatment of various lesions (caries, diagnosis of mucosal diseases).
Basic elements of preventive dentistry are fluoridation (strengthening the outer surface of the tooth by applying a special fluoride paste to re-calcify the tooth) and special thin sealants, white layers of resin that cover the cavities of permanent teeth in children so that food cannot be trapped and start the process of caries.
