This bleaching method requires 2 sessions. During the first, measures are taken by the dentist and the whitening splints are made. In the second session, the patient is given the splints, the whitening material as well as instructions for use. Bleaching is done by applying splints at home, during sleep. The treatment lasts from 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the existing initial discoloration. The maintenance of the whitening results is achieved by repeating the procedure every 6-12 months, depending on the needs of each patient. If the splints fit correctly, the cost of repetition is only the purchase of bleaching tubes.
- TEETH WHITENING AT THE CLINIC
This procedure is completed entirely in the dentist’s office under the supervision of the dentist and is completed in a session of about one hour. The results are immediate and in case the patient wants even whiter teeth, the session can be repeated after 1 week. Maintenance is done either by applying whitening solution at home with splints, or by repeating the procedure every 6-12 months.
- TEETH WHITENING OF TEETH THAT ARE TREATED ENDODONTICALLY
Endodontically treated (root canal) teeth can sometimes discolor gradually. The restoration of the color of these teeth can not be achieved only with the classic whitening methods.
The procedure to restore the color of these teeth, is the opening of the filling that closes the passage to the inside of the tooth and the placement of whitening material inside the tooth. The tooth is then temporarily closed for 2-3 days, at which point the patient returns to the doctor’s office to assess the color improvement.
